Lumiscaphe at Laval Virtual 2026
Lumiscaphe exhibited at the Laval Virtual Trade Show from April 8-10, 2026!

Event highlights
We unveiled our strategy for the future of 3D data and applications and showcased the latest software versions, Digital Backbone demos, ongoing R&D projects, and stunning 3D models for testing in VR and AR.
We were also pleased to present a technical subject as a Tech Talk during this event. This subject certainly aroused the interest of developers, project managers, and product managers facing challenges such as interoperability.
Tech Talk
Jean-Christophe Leducq, CEO of Lumiscaphe, hosted a disruptive topic entitled “Your pipeline, your rules“, during which demonstrations with use cases and feedback were presented.

Every 3D team builds homemade scripts to glue their tools together and ends up spending more time maintaining plumbing than creating. Industry standards like OpenUSD bring real value for rendering and scene composition, but no single format can cover every industrial use case. When a standard becomes the only option, teams end up forcing their data through projections that don’t fit their needs.
The 3D Digital Backbone takes a different approach: a neutral, modular infrastructure of drivers and bridges that lets you connect your tools directly to Blender, VRED, Unreal Engine, Patchwork 3D, or OpenUSD without imposing any intermediate format or data model. You define your own projections, your own data schemas, your own workflows.
In this session, we demonstrated live bridges between industrial 3D applications and showed how AI-assisted development makes building custom bridges and meta-applications accessible to any technical team.
Regain sovereignty over your 3D pipeline and make your tools work for you, not the other way around.

Digital Backbone demos
At our booth, we showcased live demonstrations of the 3D Digital Backbone in action:
- Drivers for Blender, VRED, and Unreal Engine, connecting your tools directly, without any intermediate format
- Conversion bridges for automated data exchange between applications
- OpenUSD driver (Proof of Concept), showing how the Digital Backbone embraces open industry standards while staying fully flexible
- Patchwork 3D 2026 Release Candidate, natively connecting to the Digital Backbone, real-time lighting powered by NVIDIA Optix, scripting processes, and more…
The Tech Talk video titled “Your Pipeline, Your Rules” will be available here shortly!
